Eytan Pessen was born, to his mild astonishment, in Israel. After an eclectic
upbringing he calls no place home and speaks many languages poorly, but with
almost a convincing accent. He's ready to retire (indeed has been so since he
was ten), to become a perpetual student studying trivia, but until then works
at the Stuttgart Opera. He reads the Herald Tribune for the crossword (which he
can solve, sometimes, on Mondays). Gluttony, poetry and smoking are his great
joys in life (but since quitting, he concentrates on the first two). Although
he'd like to spell, he can't.
