VOLITION
The movement of flesh, this flexing:
you always thought it voluntary,
an act of personal volition . . .
I am not here to tell you otherwise,
but will only suggest that not all,
not 100% of these little electrical
pulses are in fact generated by your
own muscles . . . so this
brings up the question of where
or how or even why come these
phantom charges of tiny jolts,
so like the little bolts of intuition
that flash across the brain, keeping
you out of, or bringing you up to, great
trouble . . . you can tell me to stop
whenever you think I have crossed
the line: a favorite pastime, I assure
you, but just where is the exact
location of that line? It may be
right there, within your brain,
or between breathing or not.
